The cables on EA1000 is a limited Chrismas edition ARESS x Cadmus 8 wire cable. I have to say the EA1000 scales so well with higher end cables.
They sound nothing like a $220 IEM using this particular cable. It sounds more like a higher midfi offering much more higher midfi offering. My take on the EA1000 https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/simgot-ea1000-fermat-in-ear-monitor.26790/review/32334/ For the fellas that own the EA1000. Don't stop at the nozzle filter. Throw on your best copper based cable and you will understand and if you have the means this particular cable is special on the EA1000. Just mind numbing synergy.
Matches so nicely but that cable is going to cost well over how much EA1000 retails for. :unamused:

Speaking of a cable that costs more than the IEM, EW200 paired with Penon CS819 and Spinfit W1 is incredible.

Can't believe how good this combo sounds.

Ya it will be at RP $350 but damn if it aint a special cable. UPOCC is a different level cable wise. the CS819 is like a basic version of the cable I posted. I would use that on the EA1000 as well see how you like it once you get them. I saw the price you got the EA1000 for. That is a screaming good deal you got. With the money saved if you want the next level hybrid cable, I would suggest ISN H2 for you. Otherwise try what you got on hand. Looking foward to your take on the EA1000. I bet you will be surprised.

I have the H2. Doesn't color match EA1000 at all though.

Simgot LC7 cable
~ $74 USD

Upfront, I would like to state that I'm not a believer of cables markedly changing the sonics of an IEM, but I very much respect our cable believing friends in this hobby. I've bought cables costing $300ish USD, and have auditioned $1000 cables before, but probably will upgrade other areas in the audio chain first for sonic improvement.

I personally get aftermarket cables for something with better haptics - gorgeous aesthetics, tangle-free design, and a nicer heft/feel. A chin cinch and minimal microphonics are also a very high priority. Additionally, a 4.4 mm termination is very welcome, as most of my sources are balanced, and the extra power on tap there is appreciated for harder to drive gear.

For the LC7, it is downright one of the most beautiful cables I've seen. Very well braided, with excellent heft and weight. No tangling at all, with minimal microphonics and an added chin cinch. Looks more elegant in real life than on photos.

I really like the modular 4.4 mm and 3.5 mm terminals, so that one has more options for source pairing. Just unplug the distal end and insert the new module. Very fuss-free and the plugs don't disconnect easily, unlike other so-called modular ones I've encountered (I had a friend drop his DAP cause the modular plug was loose!!)

Here are the specs of this cable:

- Number of cores: single strand is 18AWG and double strands are 732 cores
- Construction: Coaxial Litz structural braid
- Cord length: 120cm (excluding plug)
- Outer quilt: Customized PVC transparent outer quilt
- Connector: 0.78mm 2-pin
- Plug: Standard 3.5 single-ended / 4.4 balanced gold-plated interchangeable plug

Got the EA1000 in today. Wow. What an amazing IEM.

EA1000-1.jpg

Good stock cable but this thing needs a good OP-OCC copper, SPC, or mixed cable to truly shine.

With stock cable and stock tuning filter, I thought it sounded good but not spectacular, and maybe not worth the money over an upgraded EW200, but then I changed the cable and stuffed the "H4mm black sponge" into the gold tuning filter.

I'm using Gladiator Cables' "Aes Harmony" SPC cable here with Softears Ultra Clear eartips. Great combo.

Not as cool or as expensive as @Dsnuts unreleased Effect Audio $350 UP-OCC mixed cable, but I do have EA's Cadmus 8W I might try with this.

This was the single DD I've been looking for to replace the IE600 I sold. Never really liked IE600's extreme V shaped tuning and spicy treble. EA1000 has just as much, if not more resolving capabilities, details, and technicalities, with smooth upper mids / treble. Just a bit shy of IE600's bass rumble and slam but has more texture and definition to the bass. So much better than IE600 in my opinion.

Need to listen to more music with this...

The stock cable looks really good but the 3.5mm termination is a bummer. I wish it were modular.

Let the iem burn 🔥 for few hours (20-30). They will get much better.

What tips are you using with these? Man, I struggled so much with the tip selection on it. None of the tips seem to give me a good fit. Eventually settled with the Azla Light size L.

Great fit, seal, comfort, and sound quality.
New modular cable called the LC7 is absolutely fantastic looks great and sounds clean like a great SPC high stand count so this is a 732 count OFCC and SPC mix.

Rumors are this is the stock cable for the upcoming Hybrid/Tribrid?

Price $? Was sent to me from Simgot

Is the Simgot EA1000 worth $220?

I saw some very good hype train reviews at first, but then later saw some so-so reviews, so I'm just not sure.
I'd like a top-of-the-line IEM for acoustic & singer/songwriter music.
$220 just seems like a lot of dough unless there is something special about it.

I'm thinking about getting it when I see a discount available, but not completely sold on it just yet.
The SIMGOT EA1000 will be one of the IEMs 2023 is remembered for.

Thought: If Simgot EA1000 were sold under brand name of Campfire Audio or 64Audio, the iems would have been at a price more than 1000usd. I am sure no one will disagree to this. What a brilliant pair! ❤️

I was just about to purchase the EA1000 until I watched Tone Deaf Monk's review of the Dunu Falcon Ultra.
I kind of lost interest after that as it was quite negative comparing EA1000 to Dunu Falcon Ultra.
Maybe I'll get the Falcon if it goes on sale unless I find out Tone Deaf Monk was extremely inebriated when he made this review.
He looked & sounded pretty sober though, so I don't think so.

From Tone Deaf Monk's Transcript:
Guitar better on Falcon
Falcon more resolving
Piano more natural on Falcon
Male vocals better on Falcon
Forced to use filter on EA1000 for female vocals, but not on Falcon
More control on the Falcon
EA1000 starts to break up on the bass & vocals when volume increases, Falcon did not
Violin more resolving & natural sounding on Falcon
Strings better on Falcon
