SIVGA recently launched its $150 closed-back SV021. A gorgeous looking headphone for a entry-level price. Let's discuss it!

Interesting. Aesthetically it looks like a cross between the Hifiman Deva and the E-Mu Walnut

While the earpads are replaceable, they appear to be affixed to a teardrop shaped plastic bracket, so likely no aftermarket pad options for these, so you will be at the mercy of Sivga in terms of acquiring replacements:

The shape isn't really a huge issue, people put aftermarket pads on headphones like the Sine and Nighthawk, but it does seem like you'd need to sacrifice the stock pads to rip out the mounting ring

Similar to the Drop Edition XX's. My Only option to replace was HiFiman.

They are awfully pretty. Going for $199.00 in Canada. Wonder if they could be decent "on the go" headphones like the Meze 99 Classic's?

You ”need” to buy them to answer that question yourself. 😜

I pulled the trigger on them as they are mostly mystery and I’m curious 😅 … but my expectations Is that I don’t expect to eclipse my 99 Neo’s… but I hope I’m wrong as that’d be definitely cool/okay 😌

Looks like a basshead set.

Seems similar to the Denon D1100

UPS tells me I should expect them tomorrow - I don’t expect them to be world beaters by any means but curiosity got the better of me … and I definitely like the look of the ‘phones

That price is so cheap, why not?

A Canadian dealer that I regularly buy from, although they are 3,000 miles away, just picked up the Sendy/Sivga line.

It has been a long time since I bought a $199.00 headphone though.

That Peacock looks super nice, but $1,799.99, plus tax for a Sivga? I don't think so.

That was my thought when I first saw them and their price tag -- they look lovely, but seems quite a huge leap from the Aiva pricing... if I'm spending $1,799 on headphones (which is substantially more than I've ever paid for any headphones so far  although I briefly flirted with spending $2,500 for the LCD-R before that option disappeared promptly lol) .... yeah, it's not a SIVGA headphone. :)
