From what I hear the 7550 has a shorter cable hanger, higher quality cable?, different design obviously.

As for sound, that is what I am really interested in, the ex1000 is too expensive and even the 7550 is about $230 for me, I can get the ex600 for about $170 which is a big plus for me.

So about the sound from what I gathered the 600 has a bigger soundstage and its very close SQ wise to the ex1000, the 7550 has brilliant mids but has a bit lesser soundstage.

For those that have heard both, what are your thoughts?

I had both. biggest difference was the 7550 had less sharp highs. was very slightly more mellow. I can’t remember details on soundstage or anything else. it was a couple years ago. I only remember the difference in highs.
