Sony ex600 vs ex800 vs ex7550 vs ex1000

I'm gonna pitch in with an opinion on the two I've heard.

In the late 90s, Sony had a flagship earbud model, the E888,and the model immediately beneath it was the E868. The sonic relationship between the flagship EX1000 and the EX600 mirrors the one between those earbuds.

the flagship sounds a little more delicate in the highs, softer but not at the expense of details; whereas the model immediately below it has stronger, harder, even piercing treble. So I guess Sony's sense of what constitutes a flagship sound has stayed rather intact over the years, despite countless rumors of all their good professional people being let go.

The fit is equally bad across the range - if you have trouble fitting one of them, expect the same with all of them. In this respect the EX1000/600 are also a rehash of the E888/868... those buds are hard to wear comfortably. Whoever complains about the sennheiser MX980/985 must have never worn a Sony E888,868, 848 or even 838.

Thanks a lot, as much as I want the ex1000 the ex600 is way cheaper and I assume has excellent sound as well, I am not even worried about the fit or design, what worries me the most is the sound isolation, I mean if I can hear the whole world with them on then whats the point?

2 quick questions; do these have a lot of sound leakage, like will everyone hear what I am listening to?

Also are the 600's metal? I know the 7550 and 800st are plastic.
