Which do you guys think is a better headphone? I have been looking for some new headphones to get and i've come to these two and can't decide which i should get. All help is much appreciated!

You are comparing a closed back headphone vs an over the head headphone. Please give us more details.

the main purpose is just for use at home with my ipod. Also i plan on using them for travelling on aeroplanes and trains so another factor would be comfort for hours at a time

I could wear HD439s all day, but they have a more laid back sound. That being said, I enjoy their sound for pretty much every genre.
