Has anyone compared the sound leakage of the Sennheiser HD25 against the ATH M50? Given the HD25 being supra-aural and the M50 being circum-aural I would assume the M50 would leak less sound at a given volume, but reviews have said the HD25's also have very little leakage, which surprises me.

I didn't experience M50's, but HD-25's have VERY good isolation. I'd be suprised if M50's do better then that

Supposedly so. The HD25 has been said to have better isolation than the M50s from the comparisons I've been reading.

I will have to disagree. I tried a pair of "Sennheiser HD25 Adidas Originals" headphones at a store and I found my M50 to have better isolation (don't know about sound leakage) due to the fact that the M50 is circumaural (covers whole ear) while the HD25 is supraural (sits on top of ear)..

the m50 leakage is pretty bad compared to the HD25, probably depends on the music and frequency.

For me the HD25s are better, but I bet ear shape would determine which one would be better for you.  Both are good either way...
