I see spark fun is selling Eutectic 63% tin 37% lead, rosin core solder 100g for $5.95. Is is any good? I was going to order Kester 44, but it is expensive, and only 60/40 (due to price of 63/37 being almost $40-$50)

I'd try it if you can't afford the real Kester stuff.  It's a little thicker than I'd prefer (I like 0.025"), but not by much.  Stay away from 60/40.

Really? I'm surprised my grandfather keeps talking about 60/40 lol. I guess I'll stick to 63/37. Hmm which brand to get though? Kester is like $40 for a pound of it. It seems like a expensive waste.
