Looks like Tidal now has some competition. I'm interested in renewing my Spotify account if/when this gets rolling.

Tidal isn't available where I live, and Qobuz has the worst interface I've ever seen. So if Spotify finally gets lossless streaming, all my prayers will have been answered and I can die happily.

Speaking of dying, I feel like the only reason why these alternative streaming platforms even sustain is because of the lossless streaming. If Spotify suddenly does that perfectly fine as well (at no significant price difference, which seems to be the case right now at 5-10 bucks more), there is almost no reason for anyone to go to anything but Spotify other than maybe ethical reasons such as "Oh noes, you must not go to the mainstream or else you are evil!"

Because I'm absolutely certain someone will find a reason to complain about this.
