I'm new to tubes (even though it's been a few months with a tube amp), so I don't know what's happening when I'm hearing noise with headphones on even with the volume all the way off.
I think the tube is the Heintz and Kaufman 5998 running on a Bottlehead Crack. I have other tubes, and I have never experienced this problem with other tubes.
It's like a static/crinkling noise through the right side.
Anyone know why this is happening, and whether this could damage headphones?
