Hi All,

Just got back from the Stanford CT Meet. It was very relaxed and great to meet folks and listen to some awesome gear. I've definitely been bitten by the 009 bug and am now trying to figure out how to make it happen on a "budget" (I know how ridiculous that sounds, so please forgive me). Bottom line, what do you think is a fare price for a pair in good shape? Is the WOO WEE worth considering until I figure out which of the "real" amps to get? What's a good price for the SRM 007tll, and again would I be better off  with a WEE and just save for the better amps? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can get a SRM-252S from Stax to start, $450 from the US distributor. Enough voltage for 110 dB volume, more than enough for most listeners. Low distortion according to Stax's specs, at least as low as their other amps. Low power consumption too, save on your electricity bill so you can pay off your headphone

This is what I'd use if I ever got a SR-009 much to Head-Fi's chagrin, but I don't believe in magic anymore.
