I'm having a dilemma I was hoping someone who's had experience with a Stax Sr-009 and Woo Audio GES can help with. I have two options that I am looking at, An SR-009 with the GES amp and wait until next year when I can afford an amp that will do it justice or get an LCD-3 with a great amp now.
I'm going to be demoing the LCD-3 next week so if I end up falling in love with it this may not matter anyway however after all the descriptions of the Stax and my previous high end speaker experience It sounds like the Stax would be ideal - the problem is I can't demo the Stax anywhere it seems.
So, does anyone have experience with the GES and SR-009? Do you think someone would be terribly disappointed with that combo while I wait to upgrade to a better amp?
I already have a good source, DAC and cables, I recently sold most of my stereo since its not longer feasable to rock out with speakers so I'm just looking for the Amp/headphone side of it
