Great song! It was one I was thinking but I didn't want to add too many in my first post. I have so many for "ride" but I'm gonna wait until Tuesday or early Wednesday to drop more.

Was going to spend tonight testing this out but have a live show to see tonight-The Jayhawks. Seen them a couple times and always a great show.

- - - Looking for some suggestions - - -

Back on 21-MAR-24, I moved from Houston, TX to Coppell, TX. My new apartment has a 5-ft x 6-ft single layer window in the bedroom. I want to add thermal and acoustic insulation, approximately 2" - 3" thick.
.
First thoughts were to layer two or three sheets of something like Rmax Thermasheath R6 foam insulation. That would take care of thermal insulation - but what could be layered with one or two inches of foam, to provide better acoustic insulation?
.
Thanks for any helpful suggestions!

Is SONEX the egg-crate looking foam? I'm not concerned about the "acoustics" inside my bedroom - but I do want to block outside sounds from coming through the window opening. So I was wondering about some sort of mass-loading type of material (maybe putting a layer between two layers of the thermal foam) - but I don't want the whole assembly to be too heavy.

The 2ft x 4ft x 1in version of THESE cellulose acoustic tiles are only 2lbs (2in thick panels are 4lbs). Cover it with some material and use a thin board as a backing and you'll have a nice break from the heat and sound.
