I would not see it so negatively, Diana Phi as well as Diana TC do not make a bad figure tonally as well as technically...I have to give it a thumbs up as well👍
Joe has a different problem, since many years, he must finally manage to put his acoustic performance in an industrial design that does justice to the price, this includes an adjustment mechanism / headband / wearing comfort that already exists in 200 euro headphones, and also ear pads that completely enclose around the ear

❗️The most important thing besides the sound?❗
I take the headphones in my hand put it on and it fits like a glove right away👍
(And in my opinion Abyss is still miles away from that)

NOMAX

PS.maybe I still experience that in my life 😇
The best industrial design, the best tuning, the best comfort...won't be enough to convince me to buy from a company that sells cables for €3000, or interconnects for €2000. In my book they can go to audiophile hell with that BS they are selling.

And they aren't even close to the best in any of these disciplines...

You heard the Diana MR? That needs to be compared to the Composer.
I did back then during munich high end.
It didn't leave a positive impression.

Of course I couldn't compare it to the composer at that show

Running now:
Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No. 3 & Youth Symphony - Silvestrov: The Messenger; Piano: Anna Fedorova
96 kHz, 24 Bit, over 2000 kbps / Player foobar2000-v2.6-2023-10-13 (for a free player, the sound is simply top notch!)

The acoustic and spatial representation is simply perfect with the Composer!
The grand piano has real body, touches as if you were standing next to it.

DAC: Jan Meier Corda Daccord ff / Amp: Full Score one

In one point, however, the Composer from Austria is far behind the Nutopia from France
The Frenchman simply allows you to sink more into the music like no other👍
His unobtrusive manner makes his performance more suitable in longer term listening sessions....even though my ears tell me I'm missing a bit more of the other tonality/performance from Vienna
The Viennese is the one with the action-packed performance in a good way like no other where this is required for many or most genres
That is why this model will also become a classic with its time 👍

❗️Therefore it is very important to compare what seems to be the most important for you and where you find the exact preferences for yourself❗

NOMAX

PS.to everyone....a good start into the new week 👍

Thanks for keep posting your impressions. Can you provide a comparison against the AKG K812 or K872, or even better; other AKG headhones?
Cheers!

Incredible how the Composer presents this to you 🤣👍
(The dynamics of the performance what comes out here is really impressive)

I have now listened to over 2000 different tracks of various genres, I would not know where I would intervene with the EQ on the RME here
I am really curious about the measurements😎

you've been using composer for so long that you should have taken some time to measure it and publish it here.
Nomax has no measurement rig to do so.
Therefore we're all waiting on Oratory1990 to measure them
