Ughhhh…My wallet took a beating today with the purchase of the Westone W40’s and now the Etymotic ES4SR’s. I’m a sucker for reference tuning and look forward to listening to strings, vocals, piano, and acoustic stuff with the Ety’s. Hopefully the W40’s will be musical enough with a solid bass tuning for the Mrs. as she enjoys her Pop and R&B.Hmm so tempting

i used to have the w4s, and im confident the w40s will be to her liking pretty comfy tooHopefully the W40’s will be musical enough with a solid bass tuning for the Mrs. as she enjoys her Pop and R&B.
i just got a pair. thanks again for the heads up!The ER4SR is currently listed for $119.99 on Adorama. Best isolation of any IEMs with slightly less bass than the ER4XR (and $10 cheaper).

Triple flanges didn't thrill me but the Etymotic gray foamies are very comfortable for me. Shure's yellow foams, slightly shorter, also fit.Tempting, but that vaguely alien probe form factor vibe the Etymotic have going is a bit off-putting…

I'm guessing they sold out fast, not seeing Gramophone as a buying option.....love my XC's, this would be a good price for the new design.New Audeze LCD-X 2021 revision for $1079, down from $1200 through Gramophone on Amazon:

EDIT - Oh and as suspected, there's a new "W80 Lite" on sale for $1299. Still comes with the ALO cable and BT cable. Fewer tips. Not sure what else changed to validate the price drop.

For those who beg to have a hardware EQ for their XLR feed...Schiit has several b-stock 6-band Lokius units in stock, which still carry a full non-transferable warranty, but all sales final:
