Speaking of Philips, I didn't know the Fidelio X1 was so (relatively) cheap. In Singapore they are retailing it at 329 SGD ~ 269 USD. By contrast the HD600 and HD650 retail for 539 SGD ~ 441 USD and 699 SGD ~ 572 USD respectively. And I've heard that some actually prefer the X1 over the Sennheiser staples.

It's funny I spend so much time in my apartment complex and on the internet I completely 'forget' I'm here, than I step outside into noisy sweaty million degree pollution and hustle and I'm like "oh...".... lol.

For a second there I thought the picture was of Manila. I've been to Jakarta twice about 6 years ago and back then Manila and Jakarta were pretty much similar, though I've experience worse traffic in Jakarta. I am not so sure now though because many more roads and floating highways have been constructed to speed up traffic in Manila.

That was pretty. I'm kind of looking forward to the future, or I would if we wouldn't all die soon. The apocalypse is on friday, right? Too bad the azteks didn't choose new years eve - imagine the fireworks on that one!

Oh well, I've been contemplating making a study in different linux distros to see which one fits me the best.

Nah there are no floating roads or subways here so the traffic is just much worse than when you were here last time.  I pretty much just stay inside during the day and travel in the late evening to avoid traffic.  I want to buy a scooter / motorbike.

I live close to my office but if I lived far away I wouldn't mind, since then I'd just relax in taxis for ~1 hour per day on the way to work and listen to a Sony Walkman and Gui Ling CX6 or Ocharaku lolol king idea.

Philips when they were full-blown consumer electronic company ( not anymore with the TV business - 70% of it - being sold to the Chinese company TPV) went head to head with Sony. I think that they price their new headphones taking into account what Sony is currently doing in the market. Sony MA900 is $300 then Philips X1 is around the same price.
