recently my recabled 650's through Xcan V3, huge soundstage very 3d like. It's like you are sitting in the middle of the orchestra!

At home I'm running a pair of B&W 685s out of a Denon AVR-3311CI, I just get lost in the sound, especially on acoustic recordings, I forget that I am in my living room, and not on stage with Rodirigo and Gabriela or something.

On my head, a pair of Ultrasone HFI 780's or PRO 900s coming out of an iPod classic... again, sometimes I forget where I am.

There is certainly much more impressive and advanced gear out there, and I will certainly wind up with other, greater toys in the future, but for now... I am pleased as punch with the sound I have at home and on the go... truly not wanting for anything (for now) and just happy with the music :).

Strangely enough, my HFI-780s running from my Travagans White.  Great synergy.  Course, I wore them 8 hours a day for two years, so it could be brain burn-in, but either way, they're keepers.  Also, and I didn't expect it to work, but my old Dynaphase Sixty cans running on the LD MK3.  They sound goofy for the first minute or two, and then music - especially stuff like Juno Reactor - just flows.

Boring answer, my own Audio-Technica W1000X. =D And the short list of other "good" phones I've heard... From what I remember, Grado RS-2 was definitely nice too, but I only had a short listen. HD650 was the last thing I'll want to hear ever again.

There is a few great sounding combo. Namely:

STAX SR-404 LE with STAX SRM-717
AKG K1000 with a few different amps
Audio Technica AD1000PRM with HA5000 on rock and electronics or female vocal
Audio Technica W5000 with HA5000 on slower pieces.

LCD2 lacks the soundstage to immerse me and the HD800 sounds too thin most of the time for me to enjoy it. Personal preferences of course.

I heard the HE 5LE on the Cavalli Liquid Fire.NOISIA's Sunhammer (ft. Amon Tobin). Just...Wow...

Never thought something like NOISIA would sound that amazing on an open can.
