ANY USB Type C cable to Micro USB should work. (As long the cable is not "charging only"; Or missing data connections.) Just make sure it has DATA and Charge connections.
(Actually don't need the charge connections with a powered DAC, but for a "dongle" or unpowered USB DAC the phone provides the power for the DAC to operate.)

The Older Micro USB connector on the phones needed a special cable to make the phone act as the host. (The OTG "On The GO" Cable moved a ground cable to a diffecent connector point)

The USB-C cables will work, as long as the phone has OTG function, and that function is turned on.
Thank you! Yeah, the DAC is permanently powered connected to the wall outlet by its own separate input. So in this just a regular USB-C to Micro-USB cable will do it then?

Looking for second DAP with compact size and weight for travelling. Please, help me to choose: HiBy R3 Pro Saber 2022 or Hidizs AP80 PRO-X?!
Both can do thre small part well and plays well, look up a interface video of both on YouTube and decide. The people who has Hiby will say R3 and Hidizs people AP80.
R3 is already small, and AP80 is even smaller, making navigating the DAP harder.

From my personal experience, customer support by HiBy is much better than Hidizs.
Same goes for firmware updates - HiBy better than Hidizs.

I'm here in appreciation for the R3 Pro Saber (R3 in general). I don't know of another piece of portable kit that has dual dacs, amazing sound, balanced outputs, AIRPLAY receiver (huge), DLNA, bluetooth with LDAC, etc. They jam packed it! The form factor is perfect in my opinion too. Thanks Hiby!

I'm also very happy with it, good small companion. I have used the Bluetooth sometimes and it has very low latency👍 And with LDAC sound quite good to be wireless.

Any reason why the Hiby R3 Pro Saber 2022 and other iterations of the R3 Pro is not currently available on Amazon at the moment? Also, is the Saber 2022 a noticeable step up from the OG Saber Pro sound quality wise?

Its better, but not noticeably better when you have the older version. If you don't need to replace it I would rather use the cash for something else like anew IEM or a different DAP or AMP.

anyone compared this to Shanling M3 Ultra?
M3 Ultra is better for what it can do being full android and a quite good chipset, not sure if the sound is better, the newest r3 is great in the sound department.

It looks like it's temporarily out of stock. On Hiby store, it says "Black HiBy R3 Pro Saber 2022 orders placed from January 9, 2023 will be shipped in mid to late February 2023. The red color is shipped as usual."
