Sounds like the Leonidas is the go-to cable for the Fourtes.

Per @twister6 recommendation I just contacted 64 Audio and apparently they do demos if you live in the US. I have both the U18t and Fourtes coming, I cannot wait. I will be sure to give my impressions once I receive them.

If anyone is interested in anything from 64 Audio I highly recommend calling them. They were so helpful and demoing both of the above headphones is only going to cost me the price of shipping. Outstanding service!

Happy to help!

I can't compare them to the HD650s because I haven't listened to the 650s in a long time and they are all boxed up and ready to sell! I don't want to give you inaccurate information. I can say that the Apex is awesome, the IEMs feel almost like an open back full-sized headphone.

OK Thank you! I just called Audio64 and ask for a demo of both U18 and U12. I am so glad that they do demo for $30 per shipment. There is a bit of wait right now but I am just glad that I can demo before ordering. Superb customer service.

Oh man you should try the trios too!

There is probably a wait because I called first, muahaha

@Barra is organizing a tour of the Trios and the U12t.

As for the question above, about U18t or Forte, as complements to the U12t, I’d say that they would be perfect companions. The U12t is warmer than both, but for my personal taste, I’d go with the U18t. For my personal taste, I appreciated the clarity and detail on the U18t. The bass was perfect (it’s actually faster than U12t), is more neutral than U12t, but I remember it having more quantity than Forte. I did like the bass impact on the Forte, but i felt that the U18t w/ M20 module would hit harder. The Fortes were also brighter.

At the end it’s personal preference, but both are great IEMs. They're both very expensive, so ideally, you could audition both.

And just to add, if you are in NYC or in a tri-state area within a reasonable driving distance from NYC, https://audio46.com/ should have 64 Audio IEMs in stock to listen and to compare. Just check with them first about models availability before taking a trip.

I see a lot of people mentioning U18t and A12t. But I’d suggest waiting for N8t to officially be out (if you’re patient enough). Definitely worth a listen before buying anything. Pretty sure it’s gonna be cheaper than A12t despite being a hybrid IEM.

Yup A18 with M20 hits harder than Fourte, another reason I prefer it.

Yes the N8t is $500 cheaper then the A12t, but I think it also is a step down from the A12t.

It's not out yet so I have not been able to hear it. That is pretty much what the people at 64 Audio told me. The N8t is going to be bassier, less reference and warmer with less clarity. It will probably have a similar soundstage, but probably with less depth.

Don't get me wrong I think they will both be outstanding. Have you heard the U/A8 before? I imagine it will be like that, but the inclusion of the Tia will make it less muddy sounding. That's how the A12t changed with the Tia.

Have not listened to any 64 Audio models yet. I will next month at AXPONA.
The N8t holds my interest because of the Tia driver and more importantly, the dynamic driver.

I will hold my opinions until I've actually listened to the units.

stupid me I didn't realize that it has a DD. Give that a listen for me I'd be interested in hearing how it sounds. I like DD, but sometimes I don't like how the bass can sometimes muddy the mids
