So I'm still cheaper :) $313 to £ = £238.96 - £242.58 depending on which exchange site.

I got mine uncapped from Japan to UK for £236.19 (avoided duties/fees too). Anybody beat that price ?

No music tonight. When its downloaded I'll be off playing STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order™ on my gaming PC  (Released today). Will turn the sub up! Will also see how it sounds with my Audeze Mobius in 7.1 head tracking mode.
I was so lucky being on Japan in launch day got it for 200 euro.

Fair enough, wasn't sure. With the spike in prices going to wait until things settle down. Tempted to get the r5 but there's honestly nothing wrong with my r6 apart from the size and the impedence issue with the headphone out.

Have you got the link handy of the seller you used? Also how long did it take in the end?

Thanks

If the A105 didn't suit me and I had demanding headphones I'd have kept the R5. 2nd best DAP for me personally based on design, price, size etc.

Asked him to mark to help reduce risk of duty/charges. Showed as a gift of $39 on packaging.

3 days to post out (couple email between us confirming I'm OK with it having Japanese instructions)
1 day JP to UK
5 days in uk clearing to delivery

Davidcotton as psikey said we both bought from the same seller ..
Psikey have you noticed the the volume is slightly louder using the walkman music app then using Spotify or Google music ..I find myself turning it up just a tad using either of the streaming apps..

Listening to miles Davis my kind of blue just loving it how it renders the trumpet and cymbals using volume 78 with my .fiio f9 pro
....it's so small the player just slides in your pocket and disappears

Yes, I mentioned it earlier in the mp3 battery test. With Spotify I was listening at 68 but with Walkman app 60-62

With all the talk of pricing I took a look on ebay.ca just for the heck of it.

For me to import one from China I am looking at $460.00 CDN including shipping (ebay.ca). With import duties looking at around $500 CDN. When available I can order the Hiby R3 Pro direct from Hiby for around $264.00 CDN + shipping so just north of $300 CDN all in. Very hard to justify $200 more for the A105 as great as you guys make it sound. Possible it will be a better deal if I can get it in Canada at some point but still looking at around $500 CDN and no eta. Especially since I don't need streaming and wifi, sounds like it sounds alot better than the A55 from what is posted here. So not sure if I should go R3 Pro or A55 though at this point it would cost me almost as much to import the A55 from amazon.ca ($399 CDN) as the A105 from ebay. Pricing is making it hard to keep considering any Sony DAP's vs the R3 Pro.

Can confirm no volume cap on UK model when using LDAC Bluetooth headphones.

Sony 1000xm3’s are far louder than iPhone XS on iOS13 and on par with NW A45 with volume cap removed.

Busy downloading a stack of Tidal playlists.

Also, as with A45, all Sony system wide audio enhancements are disabled over Bluetooth.
