What's that shiny thing between the golden thing and leather thing?
🙃 it’s the Venture Electronics Prime Dac in gold or Cartier version as it’s been lovingly coined. It’s a nice analog Dac, warm and musical. 🎶

I plan to do the opposite for SoCal this year. I want to audition as many headphones as I can unless I try one and really don’t think they’ll work for me, but I think I am ready to dabble into the headphone side!
Just be prepared that you might be shocked once you bought the headphones you demoed since the chain you were demoing is different from the chain in your home. Way more dramatic than IEMs in a chain of DAP, cable, and tips.

What beautiful photos!!!!! What did you think or do you still have the CP622B?
Thanks! I sold 622B in favour of Storm, although in hindsight I don't think they're too similar overall. At the time though, I only wanted to keep a small number of IEMs and I felt both Storm and 622B occupied a similar spot in my collection. Also my mindset was that 622B would be easier to replace/re-buy later on down the track. The other issue I had was comfort. The universal 622B shell has a strange shape that caused some discomfort to my antihelix during longer sessions.

With that said, I think 622B sounds fantastic. I really enjoyed its midrange tonal balance and technicalities, particularly its imaging and resolution. Its BA bass really impressed me too. I think Storm still holds the top spot for BA bass quality that I've heard, but 622B is close. Knowing me I'll probably end up picking one up again later on this year. :)

A good example of how digital masters get dynamically compressed to fit better into modern playlist streaming environments.
There is a download link for this incredible master in the description. You can compare yourself against the streaming versions you have available.

Yes that is the one I mentioned in my post you quoted here. It’s Venture Electronics Prime Dac in gold which is solid pure copper. It’s quite heavy.

Here’s a better picture of it..
