A lot of CFA stuff but I would single out Bonneville specifically.

If we're talking used gear WM1Z for $1k is insane.

To me this still can mean something is not cheap. Value is in the ear of the beholder etc.

So my vote goes to: InEar Promission X (€2k)

The first “hifi” IEM I got introduced to, and lured me into this madness. Might buy it again

That's another one comes to my mind. However, after a long debate, I turned to 1AM2 just because it is a newer generation, not sure I will regret my decision.

Best VFM for me is Storm. Not budget friendly but worth every penny to my ears and have zero desire to look for anything else in the IEM space for music replay. Guess it's a different kind of value there.

For a more regular VFM, MUB1. Swiss army knife of the dongly type world, love it! Context, I prefer Z1r out if MUB1 vs MAX, so in that case it's great bang for buck! That combo also gets some serious playtime in the couple of weeks I'm away with work. Wouldn't be without it

Use case factors in large. I do not stream so have no use for Android and the sheer simplicity and buttery smooth UI on the 1Z combined with the pure sexiness of the whole package and form factor is (pun intended) audio gold. This doesn't even get into the sound quality and battery life both of which are still second to none even now IMHO.

So far for me it's the Softears Volume. Got it used under $150 and I find it punches well above even the MSRP. A little bit more refinement would be endgame quality for me.
