Hey I still rip from apple then convert to flac to my server or use iTunes on my phone cck through hugo. iTunes still cheap, efficient, and good inventory

First impressions?
In short: golden

🥸

I think somewhere I read this is more a specialist IEM. Due to the treble I also think its not an allrounder (unless you like high energy)

Also, i like them way more with high volume.

But yeah they are great, as expected very high detail, very large sounding. Would describe it as epic.

Not to bassy, but when you crank the volume, moooore then enough bass.

Build quality is excellent, and after 2 hiurs if wearing, to me the weight is fine. Does not bother me.

For me its biggest sellingpoint is that instruments sound really holographic, not like they are in your ears, but somewhere around you.

I would not look at this as a one and done, but an excellent addition to an all rounder like the jewel. I guess in that sense its like the trifecta, not for everything, but with the right track, the best thing.

Epic Audio Intoxication
IMG_6448.jpeg

This has been hyped up in China for quite a while. It has a crazy configuration including 12BA, 1 passive BA, 8EST, and 2BCD all packed inside an aluminum shell. It offers great lush and emotional mids, with a slightly forward presentation. I think there's some vocal magic here, great dynamics, and a medium-sized soundstage. It’s one of the few units that really piqued my interest to explore further. I have requested a demo unit and will share more in the future. Priced at around USD 5.4K – another crazily priced new brand.

Ah~inoxication. Addictive vocal. Small shell and not hard to drive. It's better for pop than classical music. I like it, but I don't recommend people around me to buy it because of crazy price.

This is a very interesting thread with loads of useful information. I’ve only knew about this yesterday 😆 started from the beginning pages and skipped middle part went straight to last 10 pages 🤪
Will take some time to catch up on the rest 5000 pages

My IEM searching journey ended at Nov 2021 when I received the custom 64 audio A18s, and currently still using my 5 yo Cayin N8. And now have moved on to desktop/headphones setup.

I shall take note all the recommendations here and hopefully try them out in the coming audio show in Hong Kong ✌🏾

What's the upcoming audio show in Hong Kong?

🤔 can I just spend the $20 for a chance to win a free Noir? Probably not worth it.

Is the tuning very different compared to Storm?

drftr
I would say yes, don’t think intoxication has a reference tuning, coloured/ dense mids, more a vocal specialist imo.

There must be a safety catch... like maybe the drawing is on June 15th, but the voucher must be redeemed before then?

They're a bit similar, but intoxication is a bit more midrange focused and the vocals are a bit more forward, and STORM is brighter in the high treble. When comparing the dynamics, storm has the edge. Soundstages are similar.
English is not my native language, so I can't explain it properly.
The graph below is the fr graph provided by the manufacturer.
