Too many choices!!! Need help!

The DT990 Pro 250 ohm are $185 on Amazon at the moment. So $150 to $200 more? Can't imagine it is worth that. Put the money towards an even better headphone amp.

If the amp doesn't clip or anything like that, the denons should be able to handle it. The d600 is spec'ed for 1800 mW.

It does need some form of amplification. Strictly it might not need something extraordinary, but since it is a fairly high-end 'phone it will benefit in sound quality. Amping isn't about volume, right?

There are no difference in performance, it is only looks and also clamping force. Personally I have never liked the dt-990. Too sibilant.
