Living in the UK it can be very hard to find some of the more exotic audio brands and products online, so I thought it'd be a good idea to collate them in one thread. I ought to warn you in advance that the links posted won't necessarily be of authorised dealers so be careful that you're not buying fakes or replicas. Any sites that might specialise in specific products such as amps or speakers (if such sites exist) are allowed too, it doesn't have to be just headphones.

Added. I think websites from the US etc. could be added too if they have no UK based retailers and the shipping's reasonable.

I predominantly buy most of my audio gear from the USA as it's invariably much cheaper. Shipping has to be factored in and I'll only buy if the vendor is willing to write "Warranty Repair" on the customs form and assign a $20 value to the package, otherwise the punitive import taxes payable outweigh any potential savings.

I'd forgotten about tax, what would you guess a £100 amp from Schiit would be taxed?

If USPS ship an item and the vendor writes the true value i.e. $100 on the customs form you'll be liable for 20% VAT on anything over £15 ($22.50). Plus the Royal Mail deliver USPS packages here and they'll charge an £8 handling fee for collecting the import taxes. On a $100 purchase I'd allow an extra £20 to be safe. Though if Schiit are willing to write "Warranty Repair" and assign a $20 to the package you won't pay any import tax or collection fee, as $20 is below the duty threshold.

I discovered a little Hi-Fi shop in my local town in the South Wales area. It's called Ceritech Audio and it's in Monmouth, I went in yesterday and they had lots of the high end Sennheisers and Grados to demo as well as lots of amps, DACs cables and speakers! If you're in the area it's worth popping by.
