Pssh I wish I could try them but I live in Alaska and don't have anywhere to audition them or any other high-ends for that matter . . .

Amazon seems to have the Sig Pro's. Doesn't Amazon have some kind of return/refund policy (maybe just restocking fee penalty)?

Amazon has the absolute best refund policy I know. They don't charge a restocking fee. The only thing you have to cover is the cost of return shipping to them.

And yes, Stax has been around since the 30s! Hardly young by our hobby's standards. In fact, along with Beyerdynamic, they're one of the true "old timers."

Not sure when Audez'e was started, but they've been around throughout the 90s under different guises I believe.

Ultrasone was started in 1991 or thereabouts, according to Google.

I got my info from their websites. You may be right if their name was different.

I tried a few from Amazon, agreed that they have a really great return/refund policy.

Stax 1996? -> 16 years?

They are the top companies in this industry. I don't know bro..

Just off a few years off there with STAX

History

Stax Ltd. was founded in 1938. Twenty-two years later in 1960, Stax released their first electrostatic earspeaker,

the Stax SR-1. Over the following thirty-six years Stax

produced a variety of amplification, earspeaker, tonearm, CD player, DAC, phono cartridge and loudspeaker products.

In 1995, fifty-five years after the company's foundation,

Stax went bust. The company was revived in 1996 as the new STAX company. In December 2011 Edifier announced

the acquisition of 100% equity in Stax.

When people ask me what I feel to be the best fully-isolating closed headphone, my answer right now is the Signature Pro.

Over the TH900? Cos they don't isolate as wells Sig Pros?

I had never heard to the TH900s, just looked them up... I'd actually be interested in listening to it. But I gotta agree with MuppetFace, the Signature Pros are the best fully isolating headphone I've heard, I love my D7000s, but the Sig Pros do a few things better.

I saw that you (MuppetFace) have the Fostex on order, would love to hear your impressions vs the D7000s and Signature Pros!
