The 6 holes eartips help release some ear pressure. It is more comfortable than Xelastec to my ears. There is some compromise in noise isolation.Interested in knowing more about the logic behind the 6 hole design tips. Are the holes there to minimize contact? Does it make it harder to seal?
I just got a pair of Mest Mk2 and using Xelastec's. I thought the idea was to increase surface contact with the body and the tip to allow for better bone conduction transfer.
Would love to try them, especially if UM thinks they are better than the Xelastecs. I am trying to order the UM Aluminum case too, so PM me or respond to my e-mail?

I am not sure of we still have the aluminum case any more.
What wired earphones can you compare it to?Just arrived and first impression....NICE! Nice full sound--The UMSmartSound --The Android version of the app is not complete yet. According to UM, the Android version will be available late May or early June. per Andrew at Music Teck USA. Still sound great using my Hiby R8 with eq punching up the bass a bit--slight treble--my preferred sound. Seem very comfortable---definitely a "mature" audiophile sound. I like it----obviously need to spend a bunch of time with these to properly judge but I can tell these are of the highest quality and seriously good oh--and the volume is excellent--these get seriously loud
