Hello guys. I was planning to buy Moondrop Aria and iBasso DC05 for my iPhone. Tell me please, will this combination be good? Maybe some other options are better to consider in this price bracket?
The iBasso DC05 is great, I don't see why it shouldn't match with the Aria

Thank you.
I will probably have for a review the new V226 which looks very interesting since it is the most "budget" offering from Violectric and utilizes the same humble CS43131.
A €1400 product with the entry level CS43131 , I am very curious...
Ah nice, I was wondering the exact same thing. I’m trying to find out when it will be available here in China and the converted price, I’m very keen to get my hands on one, seems like a great entry product to the Violectric range.

I’ve been using the Questyle M12 as my primary wired source for the past week or so and I rate it very highly. It is extremely linear and resolving without being harsh or flat. Compared to my Earmen Eagle and Apple dongle, the M12 seems to maximise the level of perceptible detail and air even when driving budget sets like my PortaPro X. The fact that there is no need to faff about with balanced cables to get the best that the dongle has to offer is the cherry on top.

Caveats:
  • No USB-C to Lightning cable is included for pairing with an iPhone. I bought a Hidizs one.
  • If power is all you care about, the M12 isn’t the most powerful.
  • Gets slightly warm to the touch after some use.
  • Seems to drain my iPhone’s already long suffering battery faster than either the Eagle or Apple dongle.
  • The LED that indicates gain is brighter than the LED that indicates file format.
