Hi, I'm new here to head-fi so please excuse me.

I've been recently looking for a pair of headphones around the $150-$200 area. I was juggling between the Beyerdynamic DT-770, Audio-Technica ath m50 and the V-Moda M80.
I eventually settled for the V-Moda's and was sure I was going to get them.

But then I came across the AI AI AI TMA-1's and read up on them and now I'm conflicted with choices again. :I

I'm not really an audiophile and sort of a noob, so if anyone's willing to help out...?

What I want is something that I can take anywhere, at home, on the bus and around town or whatever.
I listen to mainly hip-hop (that's mostly jazz-hop).

The AIAIAI are REALLY dark, very bass heavy headphones.  I've not seen the FR curve but would imagine it starting high in the low range and then a straight downhill drop from there, upper left to lower right.  I didn't like them at all, the M80 is a much better sounding headphone to me, they're my favorite in this size along with the HD25.

For hip-hop i could easily imagine the tma-1 being better. The recessed highs and more/deeper bass make for less snare impact and heavy basslines
