Original Monk V2 review/impressions (Oct 10, 2015):

https://www.head-fi.org/threads/202...earbud-that-taking-the-world-by-storm.783669/

The intention of this post is to get on same place all the knolowedge, Q&A, and whatever you like related to VE brand.

I´ll begin telling you that at the beginning, about a year ago, my first product from VE was some foams I found at Ali, after that, I also ordered an XLR to 4.4 adapter, still at Ali. But I began reading some posts at this forum about some cheap earbuds that took my atention.

I remember first time talking to Wild Lee at Facebook chat and asking him for a monk fury that has a stunning look. The ansawer from Wild was just no!!, Fury was a limited edition that was sold time ago.

1652457008491.png

´Cause I´m a bit stubborn, I continued looking for more staff from that brand and I found that a new product that was still being delivered by preorders and whose name is MEGATRON.

Poor boy, this was the begining of my Rabbit hole with Venture Electronics.

I ordered some cheap earbuds like sm, monk lite..... but the Hype on me was Megatron, so ordered a combo with Asura 3.0 FE, and surprisingly, arrived after only 2 weeks.

When I first pluged my new Megatron to my PC and switched on Apple Music was outstanding. Suddenly I saw myself smiling from ear to ear, how could that be possible?.

Was just a dongle and sounded like a Ferrri with a lot a horsepower, but at the same time with a warm and detailed signature.

So it was the beginning of my downfall, after that, many many overnight hours talkin with Wild Lee about his brand, his projects and a lot of questions everybody has on this exciting hobby.

So the only intention is gathering into one threat all Ve fans.

BTW new iems incoming from VE, so, the journey has just only begun.

(The hype is real, for sure)

Finally, a single thread dedicated to Venture Electronics. I wanted to create this thread myself because I was just sick of seeing dedicated model threads that are all over the place.

Lee is a mastermind, and those of us who had the opportunity to talk directly with him understand his way of thinking. Someone who is not familiar with Lee might get the wrong impression from his open way of talking, but once you talk to him you understand it all. Lee is all about no bs.

Of course, Lee is a mind of his own, but his crew deserves equal amount of credit. It's a family, if I may say so myself.

The more time passes, the more surprises Lee delivers... and he never under-delivers.

There we go official post, I started with monk plus too but was not aware of VE back then, just the monks lol. But fast forward, started collecting VE buds now. Each bud have its own flavors. So I guess every audio sig lover will have a dedicated line up in VE.

Excited for upcoming stuffs and its a lot lol. Been asking lee to slow down lol.

Will post some pics and comments on the gears I own once I get sorted lol.

Whoa. An official thread dedicated to VE, Venture Electronics. Nice one, Charlyro222.

Honestly, can’t remember when I was introduced to the brand, but I definitely remembered it started with the Monk earbuds (2nd revision if I recall). They were going about USD 5.00 then, and I thought, couldn’t hurt to try them and … after picking up my jaw from the initial experience, there was a heck of a lot of self reflection on this hobby. Perhaps the degree of disbelief in a USD 5.00 earbud performance and the immense enjoyment I was getting out of them at the time, made me wonder a lot about this hobby.

Having gone through quite a few gears from many makers since then, and while they’re some pretty impressive, I’ve always come back to Venture’s monk plus, monk plus spc and even their limited time edition, monk summer flow. These are amazingly enjoyable earbuds and to this day, they still get airtime.

And having been curious for a while, I’ve gradually went on to their Zen series. These are Venture’s next step up in their product line. And yes, they’re further refined sounding earbuds and they did not disappoint.

And since the earbuds were so good and enjoyable, I decided to just jump on board and give their portable amp a try. The Roundabout Plus, designed to accept not only 9V D cells but also has a powerbank alternative, the Warp Core, to deliver at the time, an experience I still remember, which made a quick switch to their Roundabout Balanced Amp, RA 2B Lite. Holy molley… it was the amp to silence any portable/transportable amp I’ve heard at the time. And it definitely helped using the Venture Zen 2.0 flagship earbuds. I’d rather call them headphones. That’s how impressive the Zen 2.0 are.

And I think Venture has such amazing stable of products, so good, that they’re all that’s needed for a while. Venture had the space to experiment, and they did in the form of in-ear monitors, Biggie and Smalls, which were the template for what is to be their release of the Bonus In-Ear, or fondly known as BIE. And graduated with the BIE Pro (mmcx) edition. Both have different presentations and shockingly good given how new Venture was to iems.

What with all that’s gone about in the last 2 years, Venture was quietly developing, testing and in recent times, we were greeted with many new releases.

The Monk Slim Metal, the Roundabout Plus 5th edition, the premium Asura 3.0 earbuds and Venture’s very first Dac/Amp solution, The MegaTRON. Individually, they bring the Venture product performance to new heights, and together, it was perhaps the first time, I can fully immerse in a complete solution from the company. They’ve matured and showed how each product release, was a cleverly mastered game of chess, drawing you in, step by step.

I could go on and on, but it’s safe to say, I’m a sure believer in the company’s products and their motto, “Keeping it Real.”

Here’s they premium range of amp, the Defiant SE and earbud, the Sun DICE. And they sound glorious.

Defiant SE sounds warmer than Defiant model, diferent amp sigantures that complement one each other.

But I have to tell you that Megatron is now the King of the party ´cause of its low and what you can get for that few amount of USD

Yup, once you go Venture Electronics, there is no going back. It changes your perspective on everything, it makes you question everything.

Btw, that's my iBasso DX300 MAX review on the front-page of Head-Fi lol

I also want to play in the "show me your VE gear" game, need to take some pictures first 😉
I am lucky enough to have some of the "high-end toys" from the VE range, each one bought after some interesting "no bull" exchanges with master Lee, at a time when I could not stand IEMs anymore...
So I discovered what in my opinion - YMMV - is the second all best earbud : the Sun Copper, then The All Best : the Zen SU, and the best transportable amp : the Defiant.
VE is a company that has a very close relationship with their customers, and is easy to catch the virus, so I also have other toys like different Monks, Zen LL, BIE pro.
Some pictures will follow...

Since their new "most powerful dongle" : Megatron (that can really do justice to their high impedance buds), things seem to accelerate, and there are a lot of hot products on the way... 🙂
