I am mainly running 24/88 and 24/96 source from Amarra 2.4.1 via USB to the DAC-2 then via XLR to the WA22. I see that there are a few people on this fourm who run the same configuration.

I am currently running Amarra at max volume (0.0 gain), the DAC-2 at fixed volume with max volume set at 65, and I use the volume knob of the WA22 to control the output volume to the my cans.

I was wondering how others have setup their volume control?

I didn't have the Amarra, but with my DAC-2 feeding my WA22 (now sold), I used the same config you did.

Thanks for your reply MH.
The WA22 is a great amp to drive the HD800s; great combo.

Anyone else with this setup willing to give their 2c?
Or, anyone else have an opinion regarding volume control between source/software, DAC and amp?

Cheers.
