Vortex, a Hong Kong-based brand, has always upheld the principle of "affordable luxury." Vortex Technology Highlights:
Shielded Twisted Pair– Vortex has innovatively used a cable with independently insulated outer skin and twisted the positive and negative poles to cancel out the effects of voltage changes. The Shielded Twisted Pair structure can give audiences an extremely dark background while maintaining full and dynamic sound.
Japanese NUC “Air-Injection” Technology–Vortex uses the technique of "air-injection" to create the insulation layer's outer skin using polyethylene. As 25% of the insulating material is air, the insulation layer even has a lower dielectric constant than PTFE, further reducing the accumulation of microcharges in the insulation material and making the high-frequency signal more accurate.
Composite Insulation Damping–In addition to using air-injected polyethylene for the main insulation of the core and twisting the positive and negative poles, Vortex has also added a damping layer for the first time to counteract external vibrations and take the already quiet background to the next level. Internal damping has been widely used in HiFi applications due to its significant effects, but it is rarely seen in headphone cables due to limited cable diameter. Conductors already occupy a large percentage of the cross-sectional area; adding a damping layer significantly increases the difficulty of production and manufacturing.
Detailed Packaging–With so many different cables on the market, it was a challenge for Vortex to stand out. To address this, Vortex spent an entire year focusing on improving every detail of the packaging and accessories. Throughout the project, every detail was carefully considered, from the color of the stitching to the choice of paper for the outer box and from the leather cable tie storage pouch to the leather desk mat. Every aspect was meticulously selected to provide Vortex users with a comprehensive and thoughtful experience. While the cable may be the conduit for sound, the packaging and accessories represent our gratitude and appreciation to our customers.
Vortex was introduced to us by quite a few Asian audiophiles and IEM manufacturers. They are known for their outstanding price-performance ratio. They sent us the full C.F.S. series line-up for a demo, and we were stunned by their quality, especially their flagship, Lavinia. At $759, it is a bargain. I was surprised at how much of an impact this can make on the IEMs. All Vortex cables have well constructed shielding materials. They are durable with excellent ergonomics.
