Running a 1962 Mullard halo getter E88CC for now.

Starting with Beyerdynamic DT880-600.

So far, I’m very impressed. The sound is settling down nicely, after sounding too warm and “fuzzy” out of the box.

Also works well with Grados:

It really shouldn’t (being OTL), but it does!

Just contacted Piotr Bocianek (the designer and manufacturer). Apparently, it needs at least another 100 hours to burn in.

So: in goes an old Sovtek 6922 (I’m not burning in on vintage NOS Mullards!!!), and on go my trusty old DT250-250s.

Now we must be patient.

Been looking at this myself, been thinking about getting a Feliks Elise. Wanting something warmer and more tubey than my Feliks Echo, this has also been on my radar. Just not much information out there, I really like the looks of the WBA amps.

I would also have said that the Elise is at the warmer end of the market.

Apparently, it needs at least another 100 hours to burn in.
:gs1000smile: LOL, if it takes 100 hours before resistors become resistive and capacitors become capacitive, you'll need all the patience you can get.
The biggest changing factor in a tube amp are the tubes themselves. If the amp is playing for a few hours, this will be as good as it will ever get.
Until you roll another tube...

That NIB Valvo turned out to be microphonic. Shame, the sound was excellent...

I’m sticking with a 1975 JAN Sylvania 7308 for now.

NIB „Dimple getter“ Mullard CV4108 (7308) today. Very holographic! And very quiet (tried a 1970 Philips ECC88 before- brilliant midrange, but, alas, noisy on one channel).

As this amp burns in, it is developing a special synergy with the DT880-600.
