I've seen them priced between $1,000 and $2,000 and now I see JHAudio's lineup and they go from $400 to $1,200:

Is the difference between the JH5s (on the URL above) and all the more expensive models really that noticeable? I apparently have sensitive hearing (after having my hearing tested and ear molds done), so I *might* pick up on the nuances between the models, maybe, possibly, but without having the more expensive model to make a correlation and comparison with, I am guessing I will be blown away by the lowest priced model compared to all the other earbuds/headphones I've used over the years.

Also, does anybody else make quality IEMs in the sub-$500 range? If so, who/where?

Thanks!

Clear Tune Monitors and Alclair are rated highly by Joker. 1964Ears is pretty well received as well.

Hmm don't most DJ's prefer actual headphones for performances?

The UM Merlin is a fantastic all-rounder, with heavenly bass coming from its dynamic driver. If that's out of your price range (and you don't want the month-long wait), the Alclair should have the best bass of the ones I listed above. All of them should be resolving enough for DJ'ing, but keep in mind they are reference customs, which may not be perfect for DJ'ing.
