Up until about a year and a half ago my oldest pair of headphones that I still own was a set of Sony CD1000 which I ended up throwing away because I had drop them and the driver enclosures had split open. Had I joined this site and know where to go for replacement parts back then I would've kept them. Now the oldest pair of cans I own are also pair of Sony D77's.

I have a pair of Audio-Technica AT-706 electret cans from the 70's. This thread makes me want to hook them up (the energizer module connects to power amp speaker connections) and listen to them again.

Sennheiser HD545 bought in the mid 1990's.

Little used because they never struck me as very involving. After I got to Head-Fi and bought and amp, I dug them out of storage and was surprised by the difference. Unfortunately, they have the vintage Senn problem with cable connections, sound cutting out.

HD-414 for me too. I guess I got them somewhere around '78.

Sennheiser HD-424 with the yellow foam pads, bought in the spring of 1979. On the 3rd set of pads - they are now totally disintegrated and gross, haven't used them for many years. I sold my Marantz electrostatic cans for these and always regretted it, except that the Senns were much more comfortable.
