Frank Zappa - The Yellow Shark.jpg
Orchestral music composed by Frank and performed by the Ensemble Modern
of Frankfurt, Germany, in 1992. This album is a compilation of shows in Austria
and Germany; Frank was able to attend only two shows due to his illness. It's
the last album released prior to his death. RIP, you genius, you. Thanks to my
friend @Pietro Cozzi Tinin for your insight into Frank's life and music.

A brief example of the snarkiness ... they kinda go together :)

Had some lagniappe time, so on to this lovely piece of snarky work:

Metropole Orkest - Snarky Puppy - Sylva.jpg

Lovely rhythms ... for @emorrison33 with Michael League on bass.

Started thinking about the songs that helped to mold my musical taste, prior to Led Zeppelin ("Led Zeppelin III" and worked backward) and Pink Floyd ("Dark Side,,," and worked backward) entering my universe. Certainly not an all inclusive list, and in no particular order, but for better or worse, these tunes were milestones on the path. I rarely listen to these songs anymore. To me, nothing beats the buzz of discovering new music that builds on the foundation, ya know!. Whew! That was fun! (sorry to be so self-indulgent here, but it's "What I'm Listening To Now...")

Nice playlist there, Doug. I enjoy all those songs as well.

For today, some Irish music by the masters.

Van Morrison & The Chieftains - Irish Heartbeat.jpg

RIP Paddy. We miss ya'. My thanks to @Pandahead for introducing me.

Van Morrison is in good voice on this one ...

In keeping with tradition, a closing medley with solos by each performer. The guest vocalists are
Nanci Griffith and Roger Daltrey.
