Choosing a Clark album for my morning walk each day this week, fantastic to revisit.

Ramsey Lewis Ramsey (Columbia 1979). I bought this in 79 and ever since hearing Spanoletta / Don't Cry for Me Argentina, it's been my favorite Ramsey album...

Here's track #2 a wonderful introduction for the uninitiated to this studio albums beauty (2017)

Ahmad Jamal was an American jazz pianist, composer, bandleader, and educator. For six decades, he was one of the most successful small-group leaders in jazz. He was a National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master and won a Lifetime Achievement Grammy for his contributions to music history. Wikipedia

(All right - this video has the worst SQ but I thought it was just fun seeing M.O. on stage ;')

Excellent choice! His music is great, RIP sir.
For today ...
The Black Keys - Ohio Players.png
Interesting production, but a bit too much Beck and AI for my taste. Go back
and listen to some of their old stuff. They've morphed into what ... bowlers?
They interrupt a decent grunge song to present: rap music? C'mon dudes.

Milt Jackson - With Ray Brown.png

Red Garland - Groovy.png
Song composed by Duke Ellington. On bass is Paul Chambers = tremendous.
The cover says Art Taylor on drums, but he only plays on the first song: C-Jam
Blues. Mr. Tootie Heath is the drummer on the rest of the album.

Milt Jackson - Live at the Village Gate.png
The band includes brothers Jimmy (sax) and Al (drums) Heath.

Song composed by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn.

New Black Keys, listening in order to advise @whirlwind, also some old jazz
that features the drumming of Al "Tootie" Heath, RIP sir. His obituary said he
was a virtuoso jazz drummer.
Edit: I enjoyed listening to Tootie ... a wonderful drummer for sure. These Milt Jackson
albums were released during the time he was also part of the Modern Jazz Quartet,
a fine jazz band. Check 'em out, if you're so inclined - you won't be disappointed.
