My current set-up is either a 1st generation Ipod Nano or a Numark record player. The sound then goes through my dads old Akai amp and then either to my Grado sr-80 headphones with mods (dynamat, wood cups, 10 holes punched, loin cloth removed) or some speakers. My question would be what should my next purchase be? My main ideas are:
 
Little Dot MK1
build a tube amp for 50$
headroom amp
grubDAC
fiio E7
fiio E9
 
Which of these would give me the most improvement?

E7+E9. Period. Also, a good budget (like heck) purchase that would go great with those is the HD650.

Isn't the E7 a DAC? So if im just using an Ipod>E7>E9>SR-80, why would I need the E7(DAC)? Wouldn't it just be better to get an E9?
