Guys. I have the possibillity to get things here that i am impossible to het in Europe. I already went to E Earphones and got myself some Zero Audio Bassos, a second hand HD 598 plus an Ibasso D2 portable amp. They already sound great from my crap phone and I plan on using them from my iMac, which will be another boost. Yet, i started thinking; my current amp for my monitors is showing issues. Dust, mostly, i tried cleaning, but i might have to clean some more. So i might het a good second hand deal here that i might not het at home. My new headphones dont need that much amping, but if i can boost it even more and include my monitors at that, (easy to drive KEF ones) i Will have won a bit at life.

I have seen some of those different ifi micro/nanos at various proces, but am not sure which one would be better for my needs.

There are also quite a lot of fiio dacs around, but again, im not site what to get and I dont think they van drive my monitors.

I dont mind spending up to 400 dollar/euro or 45000 yen, but i would rather find that budget deal that would be more expensive in the west, etc.

Then again. Maybe i can find things in the west that are cheaper. Its been a long time since i visited these forums and they make you go crazy with Evert possibillity that might improve your audio a bit.

But omg i am in Japan! So what do I buy now before its too late?!

in my opinion the best thing about japan is that you can try expensive hardware at yodobashi for example before buying it. Last time I spent a whole day trying IEMs before going for the sony XBA-40. As you already have headphones and amp you are statisfied with, the next next would be indeed to get a dedicated dac. It will for sure sound better than your phone or mac, but in my opinion it is the least important part of your chain so don't overdo it, get the best value for money you can find. A mere FiiO K1 would be a big improvment already, and is compatible with a lot of android smartphone.
