I currently have the Fiio k3 and have my 177X Go from massdrop connected to them, Using the dial to 3 o'clock is loud enough for me (a bit too loud for long sessions) I was wondering if buying the Atom would improve my sound quality or not, since I'm not having any issues powering my headphones as is which are rated as 32 ohms.

Also would connecting the Atom to my K3 for its DAC make any difference at all? And how would I connect these two if so.

Any help would put my mind at ease since this has been bugging me and I don't want to make any wasteful purchases!

I use a schiit magni heresy connected to my k3. Personally, I think the heresy sounds better than the k3. Powering hifiman he-4xx. I use the line out, 3.5mm, to rca inputs on the heresy, using a 3.5 to rca cable.
