Well the title says it all, anyone care to try this out? I cant stand the stock pads and the velours make them sound like crap. I'm looking into the Shure SRH840 pads but I would like to know if they fit before I blow the money.

They will fit.
It wont't be a perfect natural fit the Shure pads are slightly bigger on out parts which go around the earcup but they will fit and stay on and I thought they sounded better than the stock pads.
But the stock pads were pretty worn out.
Although it sounded better I still don't like the MDR V6's sound.
However I didn't stick with the 840 pads. I bought 440 pads for them which works too.
But the 840 pads are softer.

Alright cool, I was looking into them because they are super nice pads, were they loose at all or did they stay in place?

I would like to see what it will look like and if it will effect the sound.

Well I will let you know when I trade my HFI's for the V6+XB700 and get these pads. I hate the velours and thats all the guy has on them.

I was contacted in a PM about them a few months ago since I said I didn't like them soundwise and have since sold them.
So I no longer have them so I can't take any new pics.
