@adydula -- I have a pair and have never listened to them, so let us (me) know what you think. :D
Will do...these things are getting harder to find for sure...the Tubemaze details state the thinkgs to look for, the 337 mfg code, and those small grey dots and the getter assembly.. These have never been used at all. I also found three in a house garage sale that are older but dont have details on them. Got these for a really decent price.

Wish I could find an Amperex 7316, but those puppies are $200 + ! Yikes..

I only have two of those Amperex or I would try to help.😜 They were either given to me or I got them from @FLTWS when I bought extra tubes for an amp. I should keep better track of such things.

Not quite the same but I will try these Amperex Medical 12au7's when my Vali comes in and advise on how they sound. I think FLTWS paid close to 300 for a pair 5 years ago, so I'm definitely not going to look into more in 2024...

That makes me think these came from him. I had $10k in hand before visiting him, his gear and tubes were first rate.

Second splitter is done, tomorrow I ship.

Yes, bought several dozen tubes from him (6SN7, 1578, 5998, 6080, 12au7, 6922, etc) all premium quality and as good as advertised.

Awesome!

If the 1578’s were 1963 vintage they came from me. I bought an abundance of that year and included some with amps.

I just received a GE 5670W from @sam6550a as well as two tubes touted as being Bendix but the jury is still out on those. More Vali 3 listening soon, once Finnegan and I plant various herbs, tomatoes, lettuce, etc. A lady botanist just loaded me up with various types including blue tomatoes which are supposed to be very healthy.🤪

Two tubes I received are not Bendix, so lesson learned. I have the opportunity to send them back but one is at least a GE and sounds similar to a five star or a Jan 5670W. The other is a CBS 2C51, both have different structures than the Bendix.

That reminds me when we added a network server to our cutting lathes at Nimbus. Twenty 50Gb SCSI drives, in a rack server 2'x4'x4', for a total of 1 terabyte of storage! We thought we were something! Showed it off to every tour that came through...! 🤣
Not much of a computer expert in any way, but I remember my first computer in 8th grade. Apple2+ with 64K RAM, 2 120K floppy drives and 300 Baud modem. It was the crap!

Years ago, a company I worked for had an old IBM 10MB hard drive with removable platters. I started there in the '80s and it was OLD then. About the size of a (clothes) washing machine, its feet were set into metal cups embedded in the concrete floor, so that it wouldn't go wandering about the plant. :joy:
