I don't know which module Jim measured there, but measuring Rn6 is a crapshoot with that Kinetic Bass port. I trust my ears, but again, it's pretty early to make any real observation.

Thanks, @warrenpchi, you said it perfectly. I have TOTL iems, but also $30, $150, $400, etc., and I discuss them and gush over them all, price be damned! I'm not "flexing" when gushing about the expensive ones, just loving them as well.

I disagree. I have lots of high end iems, and celebrate the brilliance of the $30 CCA Trio, as well as the $400 marvel, the Penon Quattro. Preconceived notions in this hobby are the enemy of discovery!!! We all have our own ears and generalizing will get you nowhere.

I went thru the exact same process while testing Bonneville, having already blind bought Black Star. I agree they are more similar than not. I think the biggest differences were in midbass and staging, with BS having a bit less midbass than Bonneville, but having a taller and more holographic...
