@filip sebastian - Personally I prefer my Brimar 5r4GY (brown base) to the Sophia Princess 274B. It can be a great bargain if you get a decent one at a good price. Definitely worth the investment imho.

I'm with LarryMagoo. I would never use a phrase like 'very thin' or 'lacking bass'. I very much admire the amount and quality of the bass response from the AFC but each to their own and this would be a very boring website indeed if we all liked the same things!

Yes if you have firmware 1.3 or above installed you can play dsf files up to 2.8MHz.

I have a 2qute and LCD4 myself, and if there's a better SS amp under $2000 to stick between the two then I haven't heard it yet.
