    Audio-GD Singularity 19

Exactly. It has both NOS and OS capabilities, but the NOS setting is where I leave it 100% of the time. And not sure what one might not like about NOS when it is well implemented with a solid piece of gear. I'd (as always) recommend listening to things before deciding what one might like or...

    Audio-GD Singularity 19

If you want to try a good R2R DAC, then I'd suggest trying out the Holo Spring. I have the L3, but the other versions I've also heard good things about. True, they're much more expensive than the S19, but you get what you pay for. Cheers

    Audio-GD Singularity 19

One does not always have to agree with the voice of experience (here it's a very well respected member of the greater community with over 5K posts across the two sites) but one would be unwise to disregard it. Cheers

Awesome explanation! Have you any thoughts on the upgraded KTE version of the SU-1? Cheers

After all the fun of the past many pages talking about the warranty and who can sell what were, I checked on the Sony.com website and guess who the only company listed under "Where to buy" on the NW-WM1Z page? Yep, it's Amazon...

    Holo Audio Spring R2R DAC

I have my LAu on top of my Spring L3, but I've lifted the Spring with isolation pods and also have quiet computer fans blowing air from behind just in case. Modern fans that are easily powered using USB are also very quiet, especially on low speed. Never any heat issues, and I leave them on...

    Holo Audio Spring R2R DAC

100% agree. I have a Revive feeding my SU-1 into the L3 Spring, but not sure if the Revive does anything. Already had it in the pathway, so didn't bother changing it out. Cheers

If this is the worst problem you have in finding a small button then I don't know what to say. It's location (unlike others) is very easy to find. Cheers

    SONY NW-WM1Z / WM1A

Main difference is that the 1Z and 1A use a proprietary OS while the ZX2 use Android, so kind of apples and oranges. Should it work ideally? Sure. Do I personally prefer the OS of the 1Z/1A? Heck yes! Cheers

Jason - Understand your warning, but Amazon typically doesn't conform to standard rules. If they're being cut off as Signature dealers? Then I'd be more concerned, but for ~40% off? That's harder calculus. Cheers PS - I'm a big supporter and customer of TSAV.

Theoretically, if the transport really was processing only true binary 1's and 0's the entire pathway. But sadly, that is not the case. Binary information (except in optical formats) is really transmitted in voltages, and it's not entirely "on" or "off" and in the analog world tries to...

The all new ALO Rx IEM amp! Now on sale.

I think Ken had said something about this already. If memory serves me correctly it was something about people being able to use the EQ settings in their players if they wanted the bass boost. If that's wrong Ken then please let us know! Cheers

    SONY NW-WM1Z / WM1A

Exactly. And one of my main complaints about these types of "innovations" is that you would seem to have to believe that this technology has somehow found its way to the world of audiophilia without it causing a stir in any more mainstream applications with much great commercial potential...

From their website (http://www.telos-audio.com.tw/pd_new.html): "Quantum X2 material formula was initially used for medical purposes and in manufacturing of semi conductor. This was then channeled into TELOS product design after Jeff Lin’s years of experimentation and manufacturing of products...

Fair chance there will be new SS offerings coming from Cavalli as well. Alex is always tinkering, and with Warren on the team it should theoretically allow Alex even more time to focus on design and innovation. Cheers

    Light Harmonic Geek Wave

Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath to be honest. I've asked them about their presence at a few shows and it feels like they've de-prioritized this recently. If that's because they want to spend the time getting products finished and out the door then great. If they want to duck and cover, well...

So got a few Sony goodies in the mail today - specifically the RMT-NWS20 remote for the 1A/1Z and also the MDR1000X noise-cancelling/wireless headphones. Wow, I've just turned my 1Z into a 100% wireless solution. The 1000X's at first pass are pretty decent in terms of SQ and comfort for...

    SONY NW-WM1Z / WM1A

Too bad you didn't get both to 200 hours for a fair comparison. Also, were you using them SE or balanced? IMHO the 1Z when burned in and in balanced is a force to behold. Cheers
