One thing to consider between the CA1000 and the CA1000T is that the T’s balanced output level is capped at 125/150 when in Super gain mode and not connected to power (volume level can be increased at lower gain settings but will not go any louder). In the end I returned mine and stuck to my original CA1000. There’s just something about its sound that I find very appealing. At its current drastically reduced price (599 GBP from Amazon UK) I think it’s a steal.
Edit - just checked Amazon again and it’s gone back to 799 GBP. Still a great price…
Yes so the pricing is really good indeed and considering the difference of almost 1600-1800£ CA1000 is a no brainer. It will be my first AK player and I have used the likes of Mojo 2, SMSL, drop THX, Woo audio and ibasso in the past so I am really looking forward to discovering what AK brings to the table
Received my unit from Amazon UK today. Got it setup and updated fairly easily. Sounds great out of the box. It will sit on my end table next to the couch for use with full size headphones. I will probably find some RCA cables to hook it up to the 2channel system for when I want to listen to good music loud. I mainly will use it as a Roon endpoint. The one thing I would wish for is that Roon Remote would run on it rather than have to use my Ipad as controller. Ordered from Amazon UK on 11/17, delivered on 11/24 in factory sealed packaging for $706 USD. A complete no-brainer!
Hi, I recently bought the CA1000. Firmware on 1.07CM. On 5G wifi with full bar connection. It was running fine the first few days, but today, it started to randomly skip tracks and/or stop music (streaming from the in-built Tidal app v2.2) Can someone help? Thanks.
I have one coming in this week and I was looking to see if it played ISO files, I am reading it did not in 2022, does it still not in 2024? Extracting the DSD is a pain in the B and, well, defeats the purpose of an ISO

Hi. My use is stationary and I would need to have a second USB-C charging/data cable similar to the stock one. I have tried with different cables I have at home and I notice a slight loss of sound quality. Does anyone know the specs of the included cable to buy another one like it (I am thinking of a 10 o 20€ cable on Amazon, not something sold in hi-fi stores).
The 1000T seems to be going for $600 off at several retailers right now. Not sure if it's a special promotion or if on its way out already.
I have the non-T version and go long periods without listening to it, but every time I do I love it. I don't understand why it never seemed to catch on.
