hi, I bought astell ultra, listened to it for 30 minutes . I'm happy, I immediately realized that ultra is better than both astell max and fiio m15s. I'll see what happens with the warm-up. So far, the low frequencies are unclear.

FYI, next firmware update for the KANN Ultra is expected tomorrow, Thursday, 12/4 around mid-day Korea time. Will be in the middle of the night here in the US and early morning in Europe. I will update if it gets pushed back.
I’m using Tidal 2.92 with the latest firmware, why does the Ultra LED light up in red when playing 24bit FLAC but turns green when playing MQA?

On Apple Music the light turns green as soon as I play a song in 24bit.

I have owned the HB1 for a while now. Nice sound but the build quality is very poor for this price point. I have a question: does anyone know how I can use the equalizer in the app? it keeps saying that in ldac mode you can't use an equalizer.

One more user to add to the roster of Ultra users with Wi-Fi issues. Received my Kann Ultra Saturday. Updated the firmware and full charge. The unit will not hold the Wi-Fi connection for more than a few minutes then disconnects and will not reconnect until Wi-Fi is turn off and back on. Then rinse and repeat. This is my fourth A&K dap and the first with Wi-Fi issues. The dealer is currently awaiting an answer from A&K HQ. I am not his first customer with this issue with the Kann Ultra.

For those having wifi issues with KANN Ultra, what country are you located in? From what I see in the posts here, it looks like everyone who mentioned having an issue is in the US.

Also, if you experienced the issue with 5ghz, 2.4ghz wifi or both, that would be helpful to know.

Please feel free to PM me with more information if you would like to. I just received confirmation that the support team is looking into the issue.

Does the Ultra use the same Snapdragon as SP3000 or the slower processor like the one in SE300?
The faster one.
It's as fast as Sp3k and faster than SE300.
Ping me if you are interested as I am selling one

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think AK. uses Snapdgradon at all. I think they used some proprietary SOC.

No, A&K uses Snapdragon 665 on SP3000. You wouldn't get a proprietary SoC for devices that sells in a few thousands only.

I don't know whether the 8-core processors in the Astell & Kern SP3000 and Kann Ultra DAPs are the same or different and whether it is one of the Snapdragon models.
But these are the only two really fast and smoothly operating A&K DAPs in the history of great-sounding but much slower-acting products.
I don't know if the SP3000 has a different 8-core processor than the Kann Ultra, but I have the impression that the touch response and smoothness of the display is higher in the SP3000, it's more a matter of the touch display than the processor - perhaps the processor is the same in both models.
It's a pity about other DAP models (they weren't and aren't cheap) because they sound great, but are unacceptably slow despite attempts to improve them through updates.
