If these amps keep getting more and more powerful, we can only use it to power speakers. Then we just duct tape two speakers to our ears and call it TOTL headphones, for sale at the low low price of $4,999.99!

I cannot see any 17bf11 NOS tubes to buy? Is this a very uncommon tube?

I do think that the price gap between this and the 3A is going to be interesting. What the 3A is going offer over the 2A?
The types of tubes you can replace/roll. That's effectively it. (And 300$)

If you wish to send one unit to Florida for sunshine and listening, I have not been to Beijing since 1980.
We have dealers in US, MusicTeck from New Jersey and ZMF from Chicago carried our desktop headphone amplifiers.

The HA-2A with and without the tube cage.

For the record, the tube cage protect the tubes from any physical contact, and it will also reduce the RF interference significantly. Therefore whenever you experience some sort of interference, its always adviceabe to put the cage back and try again.

Definitely agree - the proportions between the chassis, tubes, transformers and dials/switches is very nice. Really interested to see how this performs and lines up, not only with HA-3A but stuff like the Icon HP8.
