At least based on the video above it seems that it's placed between MR & TC? So I'd guess it's a new model line.
Quoting from the website, so I'm guessing it is replacing the TC going forward.

"The sound is full, spacious, and very nicely detailed, limited only by the connected electronics. Diana DZ offers the highest resolution available in the Diana line, providing beautiful imaging and realism to sound."

Just had a look at the European Abyss Shop. They have the Diana TC listed at £4350, the Diana DZ is listed at £3828 so a bit of a saving over TC. The pre order time is given as 2-3 weeks.
My understanding is that the TC is a bit of a scalpel, a tool, while the DZ has a bit of a more audiophile grade tuning… a more enjoyable listening experience— hence the focus on comfort (reduced weight and second headband).

MR = Medium Range
DZ = Definitive Zone

What's with all the hate for Abyss / Diana DZ on Reddit? Did I miss something and all of a sudden Abyss is "uncool"?
Or is /r/headphones just full of gamer-audiophiles with <$250 budget?
It's generally isolated to r/headphones. A large group there puts a heavy emphasis on price/performance and generally anything beyond a Quadlix 5k with an HD600 is severely scrutinized. It's not all like that though. Especially if you already have the equipment and are sharing well thought out impressions.

I wonder if the DZ will work on my A&K SP3000? If they do, then I'll definitely go for them. The Diana Phi I have need a bit more power than the SP3000 can supply. Was already tempted by the MR.
