Effect Audio cables thread

That's the thing. I know they didn't lose it, but I would have gladly paid extra to insure it for more and maybe even covered customs charges. But since they asked me not to, and now I'm the one losing out, it doesn't seem fair to me. But I'm not sure what the remedy is (or how often this sort of thing happens)

I did the same when I sent my Code 51 in to be bespoke. I fully expected them to cover any insurance issues and would be just as pissed. All you can do keep fighting with them and hopefully they will do the right thing and at least provide the refurb at no extra cost to you. I'd expect no less from any of the TOTL cable makers.

Loving having the Chiron 4w back in the house, the new hardware is light years ahead of the original stuff aesthetically (imo). Really quite the looker. It’s hard to catch when taking a photo but the chamfered edges are polished which is quite eye catching. Makes it look more premium over the Cleo II.

It's true that Head fi works wonders, but we also need the will of the company to help us... for example, in my case, Head fi didn't perform the miracle and Dunu just made a fool of it...

It’s not the same, you at first place didn’t need to be put into that situation. On the side note - headfi does miracles.
While it is true that pressure had to be exerted through Head-Fi, for me it is noteworthy that a company (even just implicit) admits its own mistake and makes amends. So such a positive change is to be commended.

Now I would be fantastic to see a similar behavior regarding the "upgrade" for Chiron for 300 USD…

Just arrived, the Cadmus Founders Edition.

Straight out of the bag (it’s a demo unit) I’ve added it to the SP3000 and LX. I’m currently listening to the Kate Bush album 50 Words for Snow. Right now it’s a warm sound and the bass is emphasised. Nice overall sound though. It’s too early though to give impressions and I’m going to put the cable on to burn for a while. I want to see how the FE stacks up against the Cadmus 4W, Cadmus 8W and also Code 23.

I am going to buy the first cable from EffectAudio with TermX and ConX, I have a question about TermX, are the multiplugs made from a single piece or they have a short internal wiring connecting the jacks and the socket?

I personally don't use TermX but here's a photo of the connector and plug. The cables terminated into a male pin housing the TermX plugs into that and screws into the cable hardware.

I mean that inside this part, it is made from a solid single piece or it has a short internal wire to connect the male plug and the female TermX socket?
