Oh my goodness, look at those cute puppies! :D I want one..
@proedros and I will give you a good deal! Cute puppies is what we do best. How about this one? Just look at that face! :D

@Wyville @Deezel177 Thank you very much you guys for all your kind 'support'. I'm not sure if I should call it support, because it felt more like a devil's whisper.. Anyway, big high-five, team! Congratulations to all of us. Now that I'm in the dark side, it actually doesn't feel that bad.. (Hey Wyville, come on and join us already, the water is not cold. :D Don't forget to bring your puppies along).
Yeah, I know what you mean and I will join soon! Some TOTL IEMs are certainly coming, although it might be two. The VE5 have got me in their spell and I am afraid they are too specialist as my primary TOTL pair... :p

On my personal record, you're victim number four or five. Welcome to the club.
I got a feeling there is still more to come..
I'm on the exact same boat, bud. My girlfriend is studying design at the moment and I've been slowly trying to coax her into Head-Fi by showing her pictures of CIEMs as "inspiration". But, alas, she hasn't budged an inch. :D

@ranfan looks like @flinkenick really got under your skin - i see 3 of his ciems in your signature now

congrats
Thanks proedros. Nic writes amazing, comprehensive reviews. It's hard to dislike any. His reviews are very helpful, especially after you've listed what you like. I have pretty good first impression on all of them. So I think I'm good for the future to come. I hope you'll enjoy your Zeus too for long. :)

Haha, that's so cute. VE5 has a universal?

Man, that new Noble IEMs looks great. Better IMO than the big ones they currently have. John from Noble I recall has also said during CJ he wanted to create a more accessible IEMs. Meaning lower price, and smaller shell (for girls, kids, small ears). It's great to see the result of their progress.

The demo models are really nice, nice enough for daily use in my opinion, but I have not ruled out CIEMs completely. With my Ei.3 CIEMs I was still able to wear them for one or two hours a day, it was just that my Ei.3 were my only IEMs and I needed them for a lot more hours. At the time I was also not aware of what I was doing (tensing my jaw muscles) and I now know what I need to be aware of. That, and the slightly different fit Vision Ears uses, based on closed mouth impressions, might mean VE5 CIEMs would work fine for a few good daily listening sessions. It's a risk, so I am not sure yet, but I might. Of course I would need to deal with all the puppy-related matters first. :D

I will have my full Fourté review up in a few days. Mid next week at the latest, but possibly as early as this weekend.

Comparisons to U12, Encore, and SubGuy's Zeus. :D
I figured I would help out THL group.

Much appreciated. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.

I've put in some extra effort on this one. By far the longest review I've written. I'm afraid it will be too long. Folk will get bored!

What?! Someone dare challenges the exorbitant lengths of my reviews?! Tread carefully Pinky, for it wouldn't be in your best interests to awaken the 10,000-word behemoth...

I'd like to see you write a ten thousand word review. :)

Send me your Klipsch Reference over-ear, man. I'll do just that. :p

I find it so much harder to write more words when I don't love the product. Those always tend to be my shortest articles.

I just saw these on MS website. The A12t is said on the site to have 8 undisclosed drivers, and 1 tia. I'm not sure, but shouldn't that be better called A8t? The model X is having a discount at the moment, it seems like a good deal. Especially if the sound can come close to the Aether in terms of quality, or even better. :) Curious to hear how they sound. The A12t is priced the same as Jomo Flamenco. They should provide an interesting comparison

If you look at the specs, it does say 12 BA drivers. I think it just means 8 of them are either proprietary or proprietarily configured. If you remember from the A18, its 16 mid-and-bass drivers were clustered in two groups of 8. Each group had its own custom acoustic scaffolding. The 8 tubeless drivers would then fire sound waves into the scaffoldings, which in turn have tubes that takes those combined sounds into the single Tia bore. This would effectively make them 16 semi-Tia drivers. I'm guessing the A12t has 8 (4 mids + 4 bass) semi-Tia drivers that are configured in a similar fashion. The Model X, based on my CJ demo of the prototype, is at least an equal to the Aether in terms of technicality. I personally prefer its midrange presentation more than that of the Aether.

The Ei.XX is a great bass-head IEM with a more "fun" signature than CA's usual offerings. After a year or two on the site, this is the last time it'll be on Massdrop. If anyone's interested, this would be your last chance to get it.

Agreed....and if I am not writing a favorable review there is no need to rub additional salt in a wound.

So how are you liking your 1A so far? Long way to go to the 200-hour mark?
